School of Spiritual Science

The School of Spiritual Science was established by Rudolf Steiner in 1924 following the re-founding of the Anthroposophical Society at the Christmas Conference 1923/1924. Although he had intended there to be three classes, due to his untimely death in 1925, he was only able to make a beginning by establishing the First Class and the Sections of the School.

At the heart of this Class "work" are nineteen esoteric lessons given by Rudolf Steiner in 1924 at the Goetheanum which characterize the soul/spiritual situations encountered by one who freely chooses to develop his or her faculties through meditative practice and also based upon the exercises of thinking, feeling and willing referred to in other books and lectures by Rudolf Steiner.
